It is 9:50 PM. Tomorrow morning, Ann and I leave for San Diego. We'll pick up my sister when we arrive and head to our cabin. I'll run about 20 mns on the trails of the 100 to loosen up and test how my foot feels.

I'm trained up.

The drop bags are packed.

My toe is healing.

And so it goes: My dream of nearly 3 years.

The journey is the destination.

Russ,

You're finally going into the ring. You've worked harder than anybody, and it's going to pay off. Finally, the day is here, and you're ready.

All the best, and always remember to have as much fun as you can. And I have a feeling that you can take Sunday off if you want to. But if you don't, that's OK, too.

Again, all the best, Russ. My hat is off to you...

- Richard.

My thoughts are with you. And I know you probably won't read this message 'til it's over, but my thoughts are going out anyway.

Good luck & glad the toe is feeling better!! 100 miles... at some point, doesn't your whole body go numb anyway?

I'll be cheering you on from Texas!

I've been thinking about you all day. Hope my vibes got all the way over there. I can't wait to read about it!

As of late Sunday, no results on the SD100 website, not that I expect anyone to hustle the stats on there, but... I sure wish they would, I'm from New York City, and it's part of our DNA to want everything right now.

So let us know how you're doing when you're ready, #19. More to the point, I hope you're OK. And even if you're not, you're everyone's hero just for showing up for the damn thing.
